Abstract:
This invention provides a superabsorbent polymer that exhibits improved liquid permeability and increased absorption speed and is useful in hygiene products such as paper diapers, sanitary napkins, and medical blood-replenishment agents. This invention also provides a superabsorbent polymer powder that exhibits improved liquid uptake and heat retention and is useful in hygiene products such as paper diapers, sanitary napkins, and medical blood-replenishment agents. This gel pulverization device (100), which is used to manufacture the aforementioned superabsorbent polymer, contains a screw (11), a supply opening (14), an extrusion opening (16), a porous plate (12), and a barrel (13) that has a reversal prevention member (19) formed on the inside surface thereof. Said reversal prevention member (19) satisfies at least one of a number of specific parameters.
