Abstract:
A generator for a faucet comprises a tubular body having a supply water inlet, a supply water outlet and a water supply channel formed internally, a moving blade having vanes provided in the water supply channel to rotate about an axis of rotation which is substantially parallel with the water supply channel, a magnet rotatable integrally with the moving blade, a coil generating an electromotive force through rotation of the magnet, and three or more nozzles arranged, at a regular interval, in the circumferential direction of the moving blade, wherein each nozzle jets the water flowing through the water supply channel toward the vanes of the moving blade from the radial outside direction thereof, the nozzles are arranged such that the direction of water flow jetted from the nozzle inclines, at the contact point of the circumcircle of the vanes of the moving blade and the tangent thereto, relative to a line normal to the tangent and the water flow jetted from the three or more nozzles maintains symmetry in the circumferential direction of the vanes. Since the radial dimensions are small, water flow to a bypass channel can be restricted and variation in jet flow striking against each vane of the moving blade can be suppressed.
