Abstract:

The casing (111) of a generator motor (MG) is coupled with the casing (15) of a displacement type expander in a Rankine cycle device, and the rotor (117) of the generator motor (MG) is supported at the end of an output shaft (32) extending from the expander into the generator motor casing (111). The inner space of the expander casing (15) where steam leaked from the expansion chamber of the expander exists is allowed to communicate with the inner space of the generator motor casing (111) via a communication hole (15a) to thereby cool the generator motor (MG) heated to a high temperature by a heated coil (124) with leaked steam entering via the communication hole (15a), and a low-temperature expander casing (15) is covered with a high-temperature generator motor casing (111) to thereby minimize heat escaping from the expander casing (15) and increase the efficiency of the expander. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently cool the generator motor coupled with the displacement type expander, and at the same time minimize heat escaped from the expander to improve efficiency.
