Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a glass base material having water repellency which does not dissipate when subjected to a heat treatment. Provided is a glass article with a water repellent film, the glass article comprising a glass substrate, and a water repellent film on the glass substrate. The water repellent film contains a cerium oxide. The water contact angle on the surface of the water repellent film is at least 75°. The contact angle obtained after subjecting the glass article to a heat treatment for 4 minutes at 760°C is at least 75°.
