Abstract:
A glass ball safety valve is provided with: a housing in which a valve passage connecting a first port with a second port is formed; a valve element, which is for closing the valve passage and is disposed inside the housing so as to be movable in the open direction that opens the valve passage; a biasing spring for biasing the valve element toward the open direction; a glass ball that is disposed inside the housing so as to oppose the biasing force of the biasing spring and support the valve element with a space created in the open direction between the valve element and the housing, the middle section in the longitudinal direction of said glass ball fracturing when a previously established temperature is reached, and in the fractured state, allowing movement of the valve element in the open direction; and a holding body that is provided inside the housing and is for holding the side of one end and/or the side of the other end of the glass ball in the longitudinal direction.
