Abstract:
This invention is related to forming mixture with 0.2% (in weight) tragacanth powder which is an enamel coating material and application method, enabling the transformation of enamel to glass with high resistance and integration of enamel with the ground completely by acting as enamel powder and gum in the ratio of 99.8% and to obtaining a liquid solution by adding approximately 30 % water (in weight) to the formed mixture.

Claims:
CLAIMS

The invention is related to an enamel coating material and application method and it is characterized as mentioned below;

- forming mixture with 0.2% (in weight) tragacanth powder which is an enamel coating material and application method, enabling the transformation of enamel to glass with high resistance and integration of enamel with the ground completely by acting as enamel powder and gum in the ratio of 99.8%,

- obtaining a liquid solution by adding approximately 30 % water (in weight) to the formed mixture.

The invention is related to an enamel coating material and application method according to claim 1 and and it is characterized as mentioned below;

- spraying the solution obtained onto the application surface by means of a pistole,

- placing the product with the coating solution which is sprayed and still liquid in the drying ovens,

- cooking the product dried and holding it until it cools down.

The invention is related to an enamel coating material and application method according to any of the above mentioned claims and it is characterized by a drying oven temperature between 150 - 200 °C

The invention is related to an enamel coating material and application method according to any of the above mentioned claims and it is characterized by a cooking temperature between 740 - 800 °C and a cooking period of 15 - 25 minutes.

DECRIPTION

GLASS COATING METHOD IN GRILLS AND PANS

TECHNICAL AREA

The invention is related to the manufacturing method of products obtained by coating the surfaces of cookers made of metal/cast iron with an enamel derivative which was transformed into glass with increased resistance which is not harmful for health.

PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE

In the previously known method, metal/cast iron containers which were used to cook food in house and public food consumption. The coatings used in the surface of these containers are damaged and harmed over time due to scratches caused by the hard materials (tong, spoon etc.) used during cooking/mixing, cleaning and they cause bacteria growth within these scratches and lead to metal/cast iron getting mixed with food. Therefore, the use of metal/cast iron cookers which do not contact with food by using coatings over the material is preferred. In the known state of the technique, enamel coating is used in metal/cast iron cookers.

Enamel coating is a powder obtained with addition of lead oxide, borax, soda, potassium hydroxide and metal oxides for colour to the standard enamel used in the coating, silicium. These substances are mixed, melted, cooked and ground into powder. Subsequently, this powder is turned into suspension and the container to be coated with enamel is dipped up in this mixture or the mixture is sprayed onto the surface to be coated with enamel by means of a gun, so that a thin layer is formed on the surface. Then this container is placed into the oven and heated until the layer on it is melted. So the enamel is sticked to the container surface.

However, these metal/cast iron cookers have disadvantages. There may be cases where the enamel surface is cracked and the effects of the cleaning substance arise due to the contact of hard materials and most significantly it is not convenient to be exposed being washed in diswashers for a long time which provide a healthier cleaning. Food metal interaction and infusion caused by cracks formed over time and ruptures formed as a result of being affected by the surface cleaning substance used are scientifically known to have negative effects on human health. Another method is teflon coating that is less resistant and more dangerous. However, its use is difficult and it is a material with proven risk for human health (containing carcinogenic substance).

The invention is related to the manufacturing method of products obtained by coating surfaces of cookers with bodies manufactured from metal/cast iron to provide solutions to abovementioned disadvantages with an enamel derivative turned into glass with increased resistance that is not harmful for health. It has been invented by taking into account the deficiencies of all enamel coatings which are found in the market with the known technique and not recommended to be washed in the dish washer as the coating is damaged.

AIMS OF THE INVENTION The aim of the invention to avoid damages by protecting the cooking surface and to reach to the closest ground that the health and nutrition professionals foresee by interrupting the contact between the food substance and the surface that it protects against corrosion.

Another aim of the invention is to obtain a structure that is convenient for health and can be easily cleaned by smoothing the surface with coating and providing a glassy slickness and brightness.

Another aim of the invention to obtain an enamel coating which can be washed in the dish washer without damaging the coating.

With the containers formed by using the method of the invention, the contact between the food substances and metal/cast iron is prevented. Thanks to the resistance of the surface against impacts, rust and growth of bacteria are avoided and it provides ease of use with its ease of cleaning. It cannot be scratched with any hard material (including all metals) which are used during cooking and cleaning. It can be cleaned with any type of material including dish washer and it has a high endurance.

Since the surfaces of containers coated with glass coating are not scratched and can be washed in dish washer several times and they are resistant to time and use, they are also resistant to external effects. As they are neutral in terms of odour and taste, they do not cause any change in food and they are not affected by temperature changes. Another and most important characteristic of the containers that the coating of the invention applied to, to be capable for washing in dish washers. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

This invention is related to the enamel coating method and material turned into glass with increased resistance used in metal/iron cast cookers which can be washed in dish washer. Its characteristic is being a special coating powder obtained by mixing standard enamel powder with tragacanth (tragacantha gummi). Minimum and maximum values of the standard enamel powder used in coating are given in the following table.

The standard enamel powder prepared in abovementioned values is used in the formation of the invention. The enamel glass coating mixture subject to the invention is obtained by adding 2 g tragacanth to 998 g standard enamel powder. Adding 420 g water to this special mixture obtained, a liquid solution is obtained.

The liquid coating solution obtained is sprayed onto the container to be coated in the spraying booth by means of a pistole. The coating material that is still liquid on the container is placed in the drying ovens and dried between 150-200 °C.

Then, this product dried is cooked between 740-800 °C for 15-25 minutes and held until it cools down.

In this liquid mixture obtained, the tragacanth acts as gum and makes enamel turn into glass and this layer with increased resistance that was turned into glass completely integrate with the container.

This invention is related to a special coating method and consists of the following process steps;

• Spraying the enamel (glass) cotaing material with increased resistance, turned into glass which consists of 998 g standard enamel powder, 2 g tragacanth powder and 420 gr water onto cookers manufactured from metal by means of a pistole in spraying booth,

• Placing this coating material sprayed onto container which is still liquid in drying ovens, · Drying between 150-200 °C in drying oven,

• Cooking this dried product between 740-800 °C for 15-25 minutes subsequently and holding it until it cools down.

All other alternative methods have to include chemicals harmful to human health, the invention related to our coating is an unharmful substance which does not interact with food.

This caoting may provide some areas of use such as sampling and processing probes/sections, thermopots. This coating will provide benefits for humanity and technology in all areas where heat (max. 800°C) and metal are included together. It can also have an area of use where it will provide benefits in some industrial materials with high corrosion due to friction (eg. mobile pieces, brake disks etc.).

Spraying the enamel (glass) cotaing material with increased resistance, turned into glass onto the application surface by means of a pistole, placing this product with coating solution sprayed which is still liquid in drying ovens, subsequently cooking the dried product and holding it until it cools down.

The product which the coating solution is previously sprayed to is dried between 150-200 °C and then cooked between 740-800 °C for 15-25. Having explained the structure of the invention, the actual invention is outlined in the section of "Claims".
