Abstract:
This glass fiber is suitable for prevention of broken filaments and for long term stable production, and has β-OH of 0.02 mm-1 or more to less than 0.55 mm-1. A preferred content of SO3, on mass basis, is over 0 ppm and 70 ppm or less. The glass fiber preferably does not substantially comprise As and Sb. SO3 can be supplied to the glass raw material as, for example, a sulfate of alkali metal or alkali earth metal.
