Abstract:
In the glass filler of the present disclosure, the composition of the glass contains iron oxide, the iron oxide content of the composition (in percentage by mass) is such that 0.005 ≤ FeO ≤ 0.30, 0.01 ≤ T-Fe2O3 ≤ 0.80 (where T-Fe2O3 is the total iron oxide content in terms of Fe2O3), and in the iron oxide in the composition, Fe2+/(Fe2+ + Fe3+), which is the ratio (by mass) of Fe2+ in the total iron content, is 0.15 to 1.00 (inclusive). The glass filler of the present disclosure has a composition that includes a color component. Said glass filler has a novel composition, high visible light transmittance, controlled color tone, and is capable of yielding a different range of color tone from, e.g., glass fillers of the prior art having low visible light transmittance.
