Abstract:
After forming an initial crack (3) in a portion of the planned cutting line (2) of the glass film (1), in a state in which one surface of the glass film (1) is supported on a support member (5), the glass film (1) is flexed such that the other surface of the glass film (1) becomes convex, and by thusly applying tensile stress to the planned cutting line (2), the initial crack (3) is developed along the planned cutting line (2), and the glass film (1) is cut.
