Abstract:
Glass flakes to be blended in cosmetics, etc. which can prevent the elution of boron, heavy metals and other components and are not yet worsened in the characteristics as pigments (color, brightness, pearly feel) and characteristics as cosmetics (slipperiness on the skin, fitting feel). These glass flakes are produced by coating the surface with titania and then forming a coating film for preventing the elution of glassy components by using at least one metal oxide selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, zirconia, zinc oxide and cerium oxide.
