Abstract:
The present invention relates to an edge profile (20) for at least partially encircling the edges in double glass embodiments. The improvement of the present invention is that the subject matter edge profile (20) comprises at least one inner profile (30) so as to stay between the glass plates (11) at least partially, and at least one outer profile (40) configured to be fixed to said inner profile (30) and provided so as to at least partially cover the edge of the glass plates (11).

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. An edge profile (20) for at least partially encircling the edges in double glass embodiments, wherein the subject matter edge profile (20) comprises at least one inner profile (30) so as to stay between the glass plates (11) at least partially, and at least one outer profile (40) configured to be fixed to said inner profile (30) and provided so as to at least partially cover the edge of the glass plates (11).

The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein there is at least one locking tab (44) provided on at least one fixation arm (43) and fixed to at least one tab (34), provided on the wall of at least one locking housing (33), by entering said locking housing (33), where said tab (34) and said locking tab (44) are provided mutually on the inner profile (30) and on the outer profile (40).

3. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the inner profile (30) comprises at least one base (31) and at least two lateral arms (32) associated with said base (31) from one each ends thereof and which extend in a manner forming the locking housing (33) in between.

4. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the tabs (34) are provided on the faces of the lateral arms (32) facing each other.

5. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the lateral arms (32) extend in a manner moving away from each other.

6. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein at least one each protrusions (35), which extend outwardly, are provided at the free ends of the lateral arms (32).

7. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the outer profile (40) has a body (41), and one each ends of the fixation arms (43) are associated with said body (41).

8. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein a bending opening (44) is provided between the fixation arms (43).

9. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the locking tabs (44) are provided on the faces of the fixation arms (43) which are opposite with respect to each other.

10. The edge profile (20) according to claim 1 , wherein at least one housing (42), wherein the protrusions (35) are at least partially placed, is provided on the side of the body (41) facing the inner profile (30).

GLASS PANEL EDGE PROFILE

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to an edge profile for at least partially encircling the edges in double glass embodiments.

PRIOR ART

Isolation glass unit is formed by holding two or three individual glass panels from the edges thereof with a specific distance by means of the intermediate space bar and by transforming thereof into a single isolation glass unit. Thus, heat transfer is substantially prevented except the edges. In this basic principle, the isolation glass of today keeps visible light at the desired level by means of solar low-e coatings with spectral selective thermal and solar control, and it substantially decreases thermal losses. Moreover, the space between the glass panels is filled with inert gas for providing a better thermal isolation. In order for the glass to realize its function in the long term, the sealing of the edge combination of glass panels must be very good. The intermediate space bar keeps glass panels together and determines the distance in between and moreover, it provides a safe sealing against the external medium by means of a combination of butyl elastic filling and second elastic filling and thanks to this, it prevents humidity entry through the glass space and gas leakage outwardly. Besides, the climate loads, which affect on the isolation glass, exert pressure on the edge combination during the whole lifetime of the glass and the edge combinations must endure this pressure for long durations.

In the art, the intermediate space bars are assembled by using adhesive material like silicon, etc. or by means of connection elements like screw. It is disadvantageous that the adhesive substance used in service equipment leads to dirtiness sense in appearance and that it is not removable.

As a result, because of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an edge profile, for eliminating the abovementioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.

An object of the present invention is to provide an edge profile for use in double glass structures.

In order to realize the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention relates to an edge profile for at least partially encircling the edges in double glass embodiments. Accordingly, the subject matter edge profile comprises at least one inner profile so as to stay between the glass plates at least partially, and at least one outer profile configured to be fixed to said inner profile and provided so as to at least partially cover the edge of the glass plates. Thus, the glass plates are connected such that the outer profile is locked to the inner profile in a removable manner, and an aesthetical appearance is provided to the edge profile at the joining point.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, there is at least one locking tab provided on at least one fixation arm and fixed to at least one tab, provided on the wall of at least one locking housing, by entering said fixation housing, where said tab and said locking tab are provided mutually on the inner profile and on the outer profile. Thus, the connection of the outer profile to the inner profile is locked by means of association of the tab with the locking tab.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the inner profile comprises at least one base and at least two lateral arms associated with said base from one each ends thereof and which extend in a manner forming the locking housing in between. Thus, the outer profile is connected in the fixation housing and the edge profile is formed.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the tabs are provided on the faces of the lateral arms facing each other. Thus, the outer profile is connected to the inner profile in the locking housing.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the lateral arms extend in a manner moving away from each other. Thus, the body, positioned on the outer profile, is placed by means of snap-fit connection. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one each protrusions, which extend outwardly, are provided at the free ends of the lateral arms. Thus, the inner profile is connected to the housing positioned on the outer profile and is at least partially connected to the glass plates.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the outer profile has a body, and one each ends of the fixation arms are associated with said body. Thus, the outer profile engages to the locking housing and fixed or removed.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, a bending opening is provided between the fixation arms. Thus, the fixation arms bend as they are entering the locking housing.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the locking tabs are provided on the faces of the fixation arms which are opposite with respect to each other. Thus, the locking tabs are associated with the tab in the locking housing.

In a possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one housing, wherein the protrusions are at least partially placed, is provided on the side of the body facing the inner profile. Thus, the protrusion places into the housing and an undesired appearance is not formed and an integral assembly appearance is formed.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view where the subject matter edge profile is assembled to the glass plate is given.

In Figure 2, a representative lateral perspective view where the subject matter edge profile is assembled to the glass plate is given.

In Figure 3, a representative detailed perspective view where the subject matter edge profile is assembled to the glass plate is given.

In Figure 4, a representative perspective view where the subject matter edge profile, the inner profile and the outer profile are assembled is given. In Figure 5, a representative detailed perspective view of the inner profile of the subject matter edge profile is given.

In Figure 6, a representative detailed perspective view of the outer profile of the subject matter edge profile is given.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the subject matter edge profile (20) is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.

In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view where the subject matter edge profile (20) is assembled to the glass plate (11) is given. Accordingly, said edge profile (20) is connected to at least one glass plate (11) in a manner essentially encircling said glass plate (11) in a removable manner. The edge profile (20) is formed by connecting at least one outer profile (40) to at least one inner profile (30). In possible embodiment of the present invention, two glass plates (11) are used. Encircling of two glass plates (11) with the edge profile (20) is defined as a double glass embodiment.

In Figure 2 and 3, the representative lateral perspective views where the subject matter edge profile (20) is assembled to the glass plate (11) are given. Accordingly, said inner profile (30) comprises at least one base (31) and at least two lateral arms (32) positioned on said base (31). Said lateral arms (32) essentially extend in a manner moving away from each other and thus, said outer profile (40) is connected into the inner profile (30). The section, which remains essentially between the lateral arms (32), is defined as at least one locking housing (33). There is at least one tab (34) on the surfaces of the lateral arms (32) facing each other. Said tab (34) is in the form of saw screw step essentially in a manner allowing engaged connection. At least one protrusion (35) is provided at the end part of the lateral arms (32) which is in opposite direction to the base (31).

The outer profile (40) has at least one body (41) and at least one fixation arm (43) which extends in a manner connected to said body (41) at an end thereof. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, two fixation arms (43) are provided mutually with respect to each other. The fixation arms (43) are able to flex at least partially. At least one bending opening (44) is defined between the fixation arms (43). At least one locking tab (44) is positioned on the faces of the fixation arms (43) which are opposite with respect to each other. Said locking tab (44) is associated with the tab (34) provided on the inner profile (30) and the outer profile (40) is locked with the inner profile (30) and an engaged connection is formed. The fixation arms (43) have rigidity such that a specific force is needed for the removal of the fixation arms (43) after locking.

The body (41) comprises at least one housing (42) at the part thereof facing the inner profile (30). In a possible embodiment of the present invention, two housings (42) are provided. There is at least one chamfered part (45) at the side of the body (41) facing outwardly. Said chamfered part (45) provides prevention of sharp corners essentially on the body (41) and thus, work accident risk is reduced and an aesthetical appearance is obtained.

The outer profile (40) is connected to the inner profile (30) at the locking housing (33) as the fixation arms (43) flex in the bending opening (44). The locking tab (44), provided on the outer surface of the fixation arms (43), is associated with the tab (34) provided on the inner surface of the lateral arms (32). At the same time, the protrusion (35) and the housing (42) provided on the outer profile (40) are associated, and the movement of the inner profile (30) at the glass plate (11) is delimited. The edge profile (20) is assembled to the glass plate (11) partially by means of the inner profile (30) and completely by being covered by the outer profile (40). Thus, the edge profile (20) obtains an aesthetical appearance, and at the same time, dismantling capability is provided since the fixation arm (43) can flex in the connection of the tab (34) and of the locking tab (44).

The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
