Abstract:
The present invention addresses the issue of efficiently adsorbing gas generated in an internal space after a decompression sealing process. A gas adsorption unit (3) includes a getter (30), a package (31) that seals the getter (30), and a low melting point member (320). A connecting body (32) including the low melting point member (320) is joined to the package (31) by heating and melting the low melting point member (320) at a temperature lower than the melting point of the package (31). The molten low melting point member (320) is cooled and hardened. Thermal stress is generated in the package (31) connected to the connecting body (32) and the package (31) is ruptured, said thermal stress being caused by the difference in the thermal expansion coefficients of the package (31) and the connecting body (32).
