Abstract:
This glass plate has two main flat surfaces (11, 12), and a side surface (13) adjacent to the two main flat surfaces (11, 12), said side surface (13) having chamfered portions (15, 16) at least at one end portion in the plate thickness direction. When predetermined portions (13a, 13b) of the side surface (13) are etched with a depth of 10 μm, there is no pit (18) having a depth of 1 μm or more in an etching surface (17), and the predetermined portions (13a, 13b) are side surface (13) portions having a distance (H) within 1/5 of a plate thickness (E) (H≤1/5×E), said distance (H) being a distance, in the plate thickness direction, from the main flat surfaces (11, 12) adjacent to the chamfered portions (15, 16).
