Abstract:
Provided is a glass tempering method for obtaining tempered glass having high surface quality and a deep compression stress layer. The present invention relates to a glass plate tempering method comprising the following: a preparation step for preparing a glass plate having a surface temperature at or below the strain point; an internal heating step for raising the internal temperature of the surface of the glass plate to the annealing point or higher, while maintaining the surface temperature of the glass plate at or below the strain point for 10 minutes or less; and a cooling step for cooling the glass plate.
