Description:
DESCRIPTION

GLASS PROCESSING METHOD WITH ARTISTIC VALUE IN THE FOREFRONT THANKS TO MODELS AND PATTERNS HAVING HIGH VISUAL QUALITY

Technical Field

The invention relates to an application to be made on glass material.

The invention more particularly relates to a method applicable to all products produced of glass, e.g. glass mosaic, glass border, glass tables, furniture doors made of glass, the glasses of wardrobe doors made of glass, glass furniture accessories and parts.

State of the Art

Today, laser processing is applied in glass mosaic products, and yet no products given depth with tinsel and different shiny materials are seen. Laser processed glass lacks visual quality and sharp lines. Laser processing application is limited to some glass products. For example, laser processing can only be applied on transparent glass or mirror. In glass mosaic processing with laser, tinsel or dye spraying is not performed. In glass mosaic applications performed in the state of the art, depth cannot be applied in the first process step. The processes of stripping (i.e. scraping) the dye and glass are not applied on glass mosaic. After the glass is put into furnace, it is not subjected to laser processing upon being dyed; and in the process after this operation, tinsel and shiny material cannot be applied in the depth area by performing application with laser stripping operation to 40 microns depth.

The process steps applied in laser processing on glass products within the state of the art are as follows;

- sizing the glass,

- drawing on the sized glass in desired measure,

- breaking the drawn glass,

- baking (i.e. introducing into furnace) the glass after breaking operation; or dyeing it prior to drawing, and breaking and baking it (both methods are possible here), - subjecting the baked glass to dyeing,

- drying and netting the dyed glass,

- performing packaging.

The invention with the application no. EP1900695B1 and titled "Process and apparatus for cutting glass sheets" relates to a method for cutting raw glass slabs into a plurality of glass blanks, said method comprising the process steps of detecting the supply of uncut and partially cut raw glass sheets, continuously detecting the entry of new cutting orders and processing the cutting orders, as well as continuously determining an optimized processing sequence and optimized raw glass sheet cutting patterns by real-time optimization of all current cutting orders, processing the cutting orders according to the determined optimized processing sequence and optimized cutting patterns, and storing the glass blanks in dynamically associated compartments of a temporary storage facility. Thanks to ordering of glass blanks according to time and continuous optimization method regarding the cutting patterns, a high productivity is obtained, in addition to minimizing material waste.

Again, the patent document no. TR2003/00606 titled "A decorative glass producing method" relates to a method which allows a decorative glass having a surface with various patterns applied thereon to be obtained.

In addition, the patent document no. TR2008/03152 titled "Decorative glass and mirror with colored pattern" relates to decorative glass and mirror with colored pattern which can be used in doors, windows, kitchen appliances, balcony glass, and furniture with glass in interior decoration; wherein it is made of flat glass or mirror with colorful decorative pattern formed thereon by way of molding and applying dye, during screen printing.

Object of the Invention

In order to eliminate the disadvantages within the state of the art, an object of the invention is to obtain a product sized with very thin and sharp lines. Thus, it is to achieve an appearance with increased visual quality in line with background sizing technique in glass products. Another object of the invention is to allow tinsel and dye spraying operation to be performed during laser glass mosaic application.

Another object of the invention is that depth can be applied in the first process step in glass mosaic applications.

Another object of the invention is to allow the glass to be subject to dyeing and laser application after being baked.

Another object of the invention is to be applicable to tinsel and shiny material depth area by reaching to the dye stripping depth of 40 microns.

In order to achieve the above mentioned advantages, the invention is a method which is to be used in all products produced of glass, e.g. glass mosaic, glass border, glass tables, furniture doors made of glass, the glasses of wardrobe doors made of glass, glass furniture accessories and parts; and which comprises the process steps of sizing the glass, drawing on the sized glass in desired measure, separating and breaking the drawn glass in desired measure, baking of the sized glass, subjecting the baked glass to dyeing; characterized in that laser processing is performed on the dyed surface.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention is a method to be used in all products produced of glass, e.g. glass mosaic, glass border, glass tables, furniture doors made of glass, the glasses of wardrobe doors made of glass, glass furniture accessories and parts, said method being for obtaining a glass product sized with very thin and sharp lines.

The process steps of the method according to the invention are as follows;

- Sizing the glass (1 ),

- Drawing on the sized glass in desired measure (2),

- Separating and breaking the drawn glass in desired measure (3),

- Baking of the sized glass (4),

- Subjecting the baked glass to dyeing (5),

- Performing laser processing on the dyed surface (6),

- Applying second dye and shiny material on the laser processed area (7),

- Netting the product by placing it in string mold (8),

- Drying the netted product and placing it in the box, and thus finishing the process (9). In the second step of the laser glass mosaic processing according to the invention, tinsel and dye spraying operation may be performed. The glass is sized first (1 ), and then it is baked by being made into right sizes (4), after 30-45 minutes, it is taken out of the furnace. Afterwards, it is subject to surface dyeing (5), or laser application is performed on the patterned area by means of different methods (6); thanks to laser application, the desired pattern is formed on the glass, as well as achieving both the depth and size desired. Optionally, the respective area is provided with a depth determined to vary between 40 and 50 microns.

The depth having been provided is filled with tinsel and shiny materials in the second dye application step (7). Finally, tinsel, shiny paper, and leaf (gold or silver) are applied as surface cover, together with the varnish. The product is placed in string mold and netted (8); and eventually, the netted product is dried, put into the box, and thus the process is completed (9).

Again, with the method according to the invention, the depth can be applied in the first process step in glass mosaic applications; the glass may be subject to dyeing and laser application after being baked, and in the process after this operation, 40 micron depth is achieved with the desired micron size, and then tinsel and shiny material can be applied to the depth area.
