Abstract:

Provided is a glass fiber–reinforced resin molded article which combines a high tensile strength and high impact strength with a low dielectric constant and low dissipation factor. This glass fiber–reinforced resin molded article includes, relative to the total amount of the glass fiber–reinforced resin composition, in the range of 10–90 mass% of glass fibers and in the range of 90–10 mass% of a resin. The glass fibers are provided with a composition which includes, relative to the total amount of the glass fibers, in the range of 52.0–57.0 mass% of SiO2, in the range of 13.0–17.0 mass% of Al2O3, in the range of 15.0–21.5 mass% of B2O3, in the range of 2.0–6.0 mass% of MgO, in the range of 2.0–6.0 mass% of CaO, in the range of 1.0–4.0 mass% of TiO2, and less than 1.5 mass% of F2, and in which the total amount of Li2O, Na2O, and K2O is less than 0.6 mass%. The glass fibers have a number average fiber length of 30–5000 μm.
