Abstract:
This glass sheet manufacturing method comprises: a first cutting step for cutting a glass ribbon G, said glass ribbon G continuously moving downward while being shaped in a shaping zone 11, along the width direction to cut out glass sheets; and a second cutting step for, when the first cutting step is not performed, cutting the glass ribbon G using a device 3 that is different in configuration from a device 2 used in the first cutting step, wherein, in the second cutting step, the cutting conditions of the glass ribbon G are examined by a sensor 35 and the glass ribbon G is subjected to the cutting treatment on the basis of the results of the examination by the sensor 35.
