　The present invention provides a glass sheet having a high transmittance in the visible light region, and having a high brightness uniformity when used as a light guide plate of an edge-light-type planar light emission device. The present invention is a glass sheet comprising a first main surface, a second main surface opposite the first main surface, and end surfaces connecting the first main surface and the second main surface, the first main surface and the second main surface being substantially square, wherein the glass sheet is characterized in that: the absorption coefficient for light having a wavelength of 550 nm is 1m-1 or less; the ratio (αmax/αmin) between the maximum value αmax(m-1) and the minimum value α min(m-1) of the absorption coefficient for light having a wavelength in the range of 400-700 nm is 10 or less; a plurality of bubbles are present in the glass sheet; and when any one end surface from among the end surfaces is deemed to be a reference end surface and the side shared by the first main surface and the reference end surface is deemed to be the reference side, the maximum value of the length of the bubbles in a direction parallel to the reference side is 500 μm or less.
