Abstract:
The present invention suppresses breakage starting from a notch. A glass substrate (10) has a notch (16) formed in an outer circumferential surface (12), the arithmetic average roughness Ra, as defined in JIS B 0601:2001, between the notch (16) and a peripheral edge section (14), which is a section of the outer circumferential surface (12) in which the notch (16) is not formed, is less than 0.30 µm, and the difference between the arithmetic average roughness Ra of the peripheral edge section (14) and the arithmetic average roughness Ra of the notch (16) is less than 0.09 µm.
