Title:
GLASS SUBSTRATE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING GLASS SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/099768
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for producing a glass substrate, characterized by including: (a) a step of forming a molten glass having a temperature (T2) of 1500°C or lower on a tin melt having an iron concentration of 100ppm or more into a glass ribbon which has a temperature (T4) of 1100°C or lower and which exhibits a log ρ of 8.8 or more; and (b) a step of cooling the glass ribbon to room temperature to form a glass substrate. The term "temperature (T2)" refers to a temperature at which the logarithm of the viscosity (η) (dPa·s) is 2, while the term "temperature (T4)" refers to a temperature at which the logarithm of the viscosity (η) (dPa·s) is 4. Further, the symbol "ρ" refers to a volume resistivity (Ω·cm) at 150°C.
