Abstract:
The glass tube according to the present invention has a thin wall portion having a thickness of at most 0.4 mm, and is characterized in that d1/D1 is at least 0.76 and the value of (Fe2O3 + TiO2) × T222 is at least 0.2, where t1 represents the thickness [mm] of a thinnest portion of the thin wall portion, T222 represents the spectral transmittance [%] with respect to a wavelength of 222 nm at said thickness t1 of the thinnest portion, D1 represents the outer diameter [mm] of the thinnest portion, d1 represents the inner diameter [mm] of the thinnest portion, and Fe2O3 + TiO2 represents the total amount [mass%] of iron oxide and titanium oxide contained in the glass.
