Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide glass that has excellent flexibility at room temperature and has self-repairing properties. The present invention relates to glass which has a composition within specific ranges expressed in mol% on an oxide basis. If the content of Cs2O is x1 and the smallest content from among the contents of one or more alkali metal oxides selected from the group consisting of Li2O, Na2O, K2O and Rb2O is x2, then x1 / x2 is 1.2 or more. Moreover, the glass contains a total of 0–4% of a polyvalent element oxide other than P2O5.
