Abstract:
[Problem]
To increase the detection accuracy with respect to the combustion pressure for a glow plug equipped with a combustion pressure sensor, by reducing the action whereby the heater is projected forward by rapid thermal expansion caused when a thin tubular sealing member (retaining member), which is arranged between the inside part near the tip of the housing and the outer circumferential surface of the heater, rapidly reaches a high temperature.
[Solution]
A sealing member (60) with an inner/outer dual-tube configuration, with the rear end of the outer tubular sealing member (160a) forming a housing-side bonded part (W2) welded to the inner circumferential surface of a tip-side housing (131), the tip end of the inner tubular sealing member (160b) having an inter-tubular-sealing-member bonded part (W3) welded to the tip end of the outer tubular sealing member (160a), and the inner tubular sealing member (160b) having a heater-side bonded part (W1) welded to the outer circumferential surface of the heater (10) farther to the rear than the part (W3). The action whereby the heater is projected forward is reduced, because the action occurs on the basis of the shorter front-to-back distance L1 between the part (W2) and the part (W1), rather than on the basis of the front-to-back distance between the part (W2) and the part (W3).
