Abstract:
The present invention increases the heat dissipation performance and minimize breakage after a short period. A glow plug (1) provided with: a heater element (10) inserted into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine; a housing (14) for supporting the heater element so that the heating part of the heater element is protruding; an elastic body (31) linking the heater element and the housing and partitioning the space between the heater element and the housing into the housing tip-end side and the housing rear-end side; and a pressure sensor (15) provided in the space within the housing toward the rear-end side relative to the elastic body, the pressure sensor (15) detecting the pressure in the combustion chamber from the displacement of the heater element; wherein the space (142) within the housing toward the tip-end side relative to the elastic body is filled with a heat-conducting material (22) which melts due to heat transmitted from the heater element.
