Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method and a reagent for glycated hemoglobin (%) assay that allow for accurate measurement of glycated hemoglobin (%) in blood even when abnormal hemoglobin such as HbC and HbS is included in a blood sample containing hemoglobin. Provided is a method for glycated hemoglobin (%) assay in which two types of monoclonal antibodies, which are an anti-glycated hemoglobin monoclonal antibody and a monoclonal antibody against an anti-glycated hemoglobin monoclonal antibody, are combined so that glycated hemoglobin (%) in blood can accurately be measured even when the sample includes abnormal hemoglobin. Also provided is an assay reagent for implementing said method.
