Abstract:
A GM cooler is provided with a valve unit 72 defining a group of valves including a first intake valve V1 that allows intake by a first cold head 14a, a first discharge valve V2 that allows discharge of the first cold head 14a, and a pressure equalizing valve V5 that allows equalizing of the first cold head 14a and a second cold head 14b. A valve rotor in the valve unit 72 is provided with a rotor surface that comes in planar contact with a stator surface of a valve stator. The valve rotor is provided with a high-pressure flow path that opens to the rotor surface and forms part of the first intake valve V1, a low-pressure flow path that opens to the rotor surface and forms part of the first discharge valve V2, and a pressure equalizing flow path that opens to the rotor surface and forms part of the pressure equalizing valve V5. The high-pressure flow path, the low-pressure flow path, and the pressure equalizing flow path are circumferentially arranged around the rotary shaft of the valve on the rotor surface.
