Disclosed are: a gobo lighting apparatus which may be used for roadways or digital signage apparatuses; and manufacturing method thereof. The gobo lighting apparatus comprises: a light source module having an LED light source and a collimator lens coupled to an emission surface of the LED light source; a bracket frame having the light source module provided on one end part thereof; a first imaging optical module provided on the central part of the bracket frame; a second imaging optical module provided on the other end part of the bracket frame; a rotating plate provided between the light source module and the first imaging optical module; and a motor connected to a rotating shaft of the rotating plate and provided on the light source module by means of the bracket frame, wherein the placement relationship between the first imaging optical module and the second imaging optical module is determined on the basis of the gobo image size, of a gobo image filter detachably provided on an opening of the rotating plate, and the size of a projection image to be displayed on the road.
