Abstract:

A golf club head (11) having an ellipsoid of inertia (12) using a gravity center (G) as its center, wherein, when the ellipsoid of inertia (12) is virtually cut off on a plane which passes through the gravity center of the golf club head (11) and is positioned in parallel with a face surface (11f), the major axis of a plane ellipse (13) appearing on the cut-off surface and a crossed line (15) of the cut-off surface with the ground (16) forms an angle $g(u), the major axis extends from the ground (16) upward as it nears a toe portion (11t), the angle $g(u) is set at 0.5° or more and 9.5° or less, and an aspect ratio (a/b) specified by the ratio of the length (a) of the major axis (13d) of the plane ellipse (13) to the length (b) of a minor axis (13e) is 1 or more and 4 or less.
