Abstract:
Provided are a golf club shaft which is capable of reproducibly and easily setting a weight balance in the shaft longitudinal direction, is low in cost, and has high durability, and a method for manufacturing the same.
This golf club shaft is characterized by having a hollow cylindrical shaft body made of fiber reinforced resin and a cylindrical body for weight addition provided in a cylindrical space of the shaft body, and in that at least a part of the cylindrical body for weight addition on an outer diameter side is buried in a buried concave cylindrical section of an inner wall of the shaft body, and a cylindrical end face on a proximal side of the cylindrical body for weight addition and a cylindrical end face on a proximal side of the buried concave cylindrical section of the shaft body are in contact with each other.
