Abstract:
Various embodiments relate to a gradient-index phononic crystal flat lens which controls the behavior of an acoustic wave having a designated frequency, and includes at least one super cell in which layers are vertically laminated according to a target gradient index distribution, wherein each of the layers is composed of an aggregate in which unit cells having identically-sized scatterers in the center are arrayed in a horizontal direction. The at least one super cell may include dividing units which are provided between adjacent layers to the layer, and force the traveling direction of the acoustic wave traveling inside the gradient-index phononic crystal flat lens to be oriented in the horizontal direction. Various other embodiments are also possible.
