Abstract:
A gradient information database creation device of the present invention is provided with: a position information acquisition unit for acquiring the position information of a vehicle; and a gradient determination unit for determining the gradient of a road based on the operating state of an auxiliary brake device. The gradient information database creation device is provided with: a moving distance calculation unit for calculating the moving distance of the vehicle based on the position information detected by the position information acquisition unit; and a traveling distance calculation unit for calculating the traveling distance of the vehicle based on the velocity of the vehicle. When the position information has been acquired by the position information acquisition unit, the gradient information database creation device stores the gradient information in the database, corresponding to the distance information calculated by the moving distance calculation unit. When the position information has not been acquired by the position information acquisition unit, the gradient information database creation device stores the gradient information in the database, corresponding to the distance information calculated by the traveling distance calculation unit.
