Abstract:

The present invention relates to a graft copolymer preparation method and a graft copolymer, the method comprising the steps of: injecting a first molecular weight control agent, a diene-based rubber polymer, a vinyl aromatic monomer and a vinyl cyanide-based monomer together into a reactor to initiate polymerization; and continuously injecting, after initiation of polymerization, a second molecular weight control agent, a vinyl aromatic monomer and a vinyl cyanide-based monomer into the reactor to perform polymerization, wherein the second molecular weight control agent comprises an alkylstyrene-based dimer and a mercaptan-based compound in a weight ratio of 40.0:60.0 to 70.0:30.0, and the weight ratio of the first molecular weight control agent and the second molecular weight control agent is 5.0:95.0 to 25.0:75.0.
