Abstract:
In this granular material processing method for estimating the amount of resin pellets (granular material) (9) serving as a material to be processed in a storage tank (10) for storing the resin pellets (9) therein, (a) an air flow is made to pass through an air flow circulation path (air flow path) (31) including the storage tank (10) such that the air flow passes the resin pellets (9), (b) the pressure difference between the pressure inside the air flow circulation path (31) at a portion upstream from the storage tank (10) and the pressure inside the air flow circulation path (31) at a portion downstream from the resin pellets (9) in the storage tank (10) is detected, and (c) on the basis of the pressure difference detected in (b), the amount of resin pellets (9) stored in the storage tank (10) is estimated.
