Abstract:
Provided are a granulation method and a granulation device capable of reducing the cost for producing pellets. Disclosed is a granulation method for use of an underwater cutting (UWC) device (107) which cuts a processed medium extruded from a hole of a die (106) by a cutting blade located inside of a circulation box (109), and carries the cut-out pellets from the circulation box (109) while cooling the pellets by pellet cooling/carrying water (PCW), wherein, before the start of granulation, the PCW is circulated and the cutting blade is rotated and pressed onto the die (106), and thereafter, the circulation of the PCW is stopped, the PCW is drained to retain a predetermined amount of PCW in the circulation box (109), and the PCW retained in the circulation box (109) is heated to a temperature of 69°C or higher.
