Abstract:
A graphic meter device, whereby changes in a viewpoint position (EP) or a line-of-sight direction (DD) are detected and the display content of a meter is automatically changed. For 2D drawings, enlargement, reduction, and movement are changed together. For 3D drawings, stereoscopic images are rotated on the spot. The image is returned to a standard state at which visibility is prioritized, when the viewpoint is being approached. When moving away from the line of sight, the stereoscopic image is rotated in a direction so as to be further away, and the three-dimensionality is highlighted. For meters matching the line-of-sight orientation, the stereoscopic image is orientated towards the front to improve visibility. The state of orientation to the front is maintained if the orientation of the line of sight has been slightly displaced and, if the light of sight has been displaced by a great amount, tracking control is gradually removed.
