Abstract:
Provided is a graphite material which uses Joule heating and has a good balance between resistance at room temperature and resistance at high temperatures without adding metallic impurities. This graphite material has a specific resistivity (ρ25) at 25ºC of 10.0 µΩ·m to 12.0 µΩ·m and a specific resistivity (ρ1600) at 1600ºC of 9.5 µΩ·m to 11.0 µΩ·m. The ratio (ρ1600/ρ25) between the specific resistivities at 25ºC and 1600ºC is 0.85 to 1.00. The minimum specific resistivity (ρmin) is observed at 500ºC to 800ºC. The ratio (ρmin/ρ25) between the minimum specific resistivity and the specific resistivity at 25ºC is 0.70 to 0.80. The graphite material has a bulk density of 1.69 g/cm3 to 1.80 g/cm3.
