Abstract:
A grease composition which is for use in a bearing and which comprises a thickener (A) and a base oil (B), characterized in that: the thickener (A) consists of a urea thickener represented by general formula (I), R1NHCONHR2NHCONHR3 [wherein R1 and R3 are each independently (a1) a monovalent chain hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, (a2) a monovalent alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, or the like, and R2 is (a4) a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms]; and when a transmission image of the grease composition is observed, the area fraction of portions which are composed of aggregates of the urea thickener and which have transmission image areas exceeding 40μm2 is 15% or less relative to the whole observation area.
