Abstract:
Provided are: a grease composition having superior fretting resistance in a wide temperature region from low temperatures to high temperatures, particularly in low temperatures; and a rolling bearing encapsulating the grease composition. The grease-encapsulating bearing (1) is formed by encapsulating the grease composition (7); the grease composition (7) contains a base oil, a thickening agent, and an additive agent; the additive agent contains at least one phosphite ester represented by formula (1) or (2); and the amount of the phosphite ester contained is 0.5-4 parts by weight for every 100 parts by weight of the total of the base oil and the thickening agent. (In formulas (1) and (2), R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 each are a methyl group or an ethyl group. Also, R1 and R2 as well as R3, R4, and R5 may be the same group or a different group.)
