Abstract:
A grease composition for a tapered roller bearing having excellent bearing life even under high-temperature/high-load conditions, and a tapered roller bearing filled with the grease composition for a tapered roller bearing are provided. The tapered roller bearing 11 is provided with an inner race 12 having a raceway 12a, an outer race 13 having a raceway 13a, and multiple tapered rollers 14, and is in sliding contact with the tapered rollers 14 in the flange portion of the inner race 12. The grease 16 is filled around the tapered rollers 14, and contains a base oil, a thickener, and an additive. The storage modulus of the grease 16 changes depending on frequency, and the frequency at which the storage modulus of the grease 16 becomes minimum is greater than or equal to 7 Hz.
