Abstract:
A grease composition which contains a urea-based thickening agent represented by formula (1) and a base oil that contains one or more compounds represented by formula (3).

(In formula (1), R2 represents a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6-15 carbon atoms; and R1 and R3 may be the same as or different from each other, and each represents an alkyl group having 8-22 carbon atoms, a cyclohexyl group or an aryl group having 6-12 carbon atoms.)
(In formula (3), R6 and R7 may be the same as or different from each other, and each represents a branched alkyl group having 10-26 carbon atoms, and the ratio of the number of moles of alkyl groups, in which carbon atoms linked to phenyl rings are quaternary carbon atoms, relative to the total number of moles of the branched alkyl groups is 40-95% by mole; and m and n represent real numbers of 0 or more satisfying 1.0 ≤ m + n ≤ 3.0.)
