Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rolling bearing having both high-temperature durability and resistance to noise abnormalities at cold temperatures. A rolling bearing 1 is used in automotive electrical auxiliary equipment and comprises: an inner race 2 having an inner race track surface 2a on the outer circumference thereof; an outer race 3 having an outer race track surface 3a on the inner circumference thereof; a plurality of rolling bodies 4 rolling between the inner race track surface 2a and the outer race track surface 3a; and grease 7 sealed around the rolling bodies 4. The base oil of the grease 7 has ether oil as the main component thereof. Said bearing is: (1) a bearing which has, on at least one surface selected from the inner race track surface 2a, the outer race track surface 3a, and the rolling surfaces of the rolling bodies 4, a non-stick film 8 containing DLC, molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide, or a fluororesin; (2) a bearing in which the material of the rolling bodies is ceramic, and which does not have a cage for holding the rolling bodies; or (3) a bearing in which the material of the rolling bodies is ceramic, which has a cage, and in which the number of rolling bodies is 40–80% of the maximum number thereof in the bearing dimensions.
