Abstract:

A grease for a sliding bearing capable of suppressing noise resulting from a slippages between a shaft and the bearing in stopping a machine. The grease (24) for the sliding bearing is supplied between the sliding bearing (16) formed of a porous sintered alloy bush having a lubricating oil (31) impregnated in the pores (30) thereof and the shaft (22) inserted into the sliding bearing (16) and rotatingly slidably supported thereon in the circumferential direction. The grease is characterized in that it uses a base oil having a dynamic viscosity at 40°C of 10 to 70 mm²/s and oozed by the load of the shaft (22) to form an oil film (35) between the sliding bearing (16) and the shaft (22).
