Abstract:
A green bamboo veneer and a manufacturing process thereof, relating to the technical field of bamboo processing. The method comprises the following steps: segmenting and cutting bamboo into bamboo strips having curved cross-sections; pressurizing, heating, and softening the bamboo strips and then expanding the bamboo strips at equal arcs and fixed thicknesses; then performing double-surface protection gradual flattening under a heat preservation condition till the bamboo strips are completely flattened, so as to obtain a bamboo board; and performing continuous cooling treatment on the bamboo board, then ballasting, shaping, and drying, and then performing fixed width trimming to obtain a green bamboo board finished product. According to the expanding process of green bamboo strips, the green bamboo strips can be expanded without damaging bamboo green surface, the problems of cracking and rebounding would not occur in the expanding process, the obtained green bamboo veneer is smooth and flat, has natural and beautiful textures, and has good mechanical properties, thereby filling the gap in the bamboo market of lacking of natural green bamboo texture materials.
