Abstract:
Provided are a green compact which can form a low-loss magnetic core, a manufacturing method for the green compact, and a reactor core using the green compact. A part of the outer peripheral surfaces of green compacts (41, 42) are formed by the inner peripheral surface of a through hole (10hA) in a die (10A), and the other part is formed by the outer peripheral surface of a core rod (13A) which is inserted into the through hole (10hA). After a source material powder (coated soft magnetic powder, P) is filled into molding spaces (31, 32) and pressed by a lower punch (first punch, 12) and an upper punch (second punch, 11), the die (10A) is moved relative to the green compacts (41, 42) while the core rod (13A) is not moved relative to the green compacts (41, 42), extracting the green compacts (41, 42) from the molding spaces (31, 32). The regions of the outer peripheral surfaces of the green compacts (41, 42) formed by the core rod (13A) maintain a robust insulation layer because said regions are not in sliding contact with the core rod (13A). As such, the eddy-current loss of a core using the green compacts (41, 42) can be reduced.
