Abstract:
This invention provides a grind stone comprising a disk-like base metal having
an outer peripheral surface, a grinding layer, and a lubricating layer covering
the grinding layer. The grinding layer comprises a plating layer fixed to the
outer peripheral surface by electrodeposition, and superabrasive grains partially
protruded from the plating layer. The lubricating layer is formed of chromium
or a chromium-containing cobalt alloy and is formed by plating, coating, or thermal
spraying.
