Abstract:

Provided is a grinding device with which it is possible to prevent the surface of a grinding part from being worn flat and prevent extreme reduction in grinding power and grinding burns. This grinding device (1) is provided with a support part (20) that is attached to a rotation shaft (12), which is driven by a rotation-driving unit (11) , so as to be integrated and rotatable therewith, and a grinding part (30) that is overlaid on the support part (20) and has a grinding surface (31) with asperities formed by multiple abrasive grains on the surface. The surface of the support part (20) is provided with protruding surfaces (21), which contact the back surface of the grinding part (30) during use, alternating with recessed surfaces (22), which are recessed from the protruding surfaces (21), in the circumferential direction. An engaging mechanism (50), which is for engaging at each of designated angular positions and holding the grinding part (30) or the support part (20) that has been moved by a designated angle in the circumferential direction , is provided between the support part (20) and the grinding part (30), between the rotation shaft (12) and the grinding part (30), or between the rotation shaft (12) and the support part (20).
