Abstract:
A grindstone with an axis (1) comprises a grindstone (2), and a shaft (3) extending from the grindstone (2). The grindstone (2) is formed by bonding a plurality of fiber bundles (22), which are bundles of a plurality of inorganic long fibers (21), with a resin (23). The shaft (3) satisfies a conditional formula (A) where S represents rigidity. When a 30 mm area from a rear end of the shaft (3) is secured as a shank part (4), a rear end of an outer peripheral edge (2a) of the grindstone (2) is pushed in from a direction perpendicular to an axis line (L), a push-in load is represented by F (N), and a displacement amount of a front end of the shaft 3 is represented by δ (mm), the rigidity of the shaft (3) is given by formula (B) below. 0.4 ≤ S ≤ 100 ・・ (A) S = F / δ ・・ (B)
