AMENDED CLAIMS

received by the International Bureau on 17 November 2014 (17.1 1.2014)

1. A golf club grip assembly comprising: an elongated grip having a first end and a second end, the first end is configured to receive a golf club shaft, the second end includes an opening; an insert received in the opening, the insert comprises an internal surface having a first threaded portion, said insert comprising an external surface comprising a plurality of projections engaging the elongated grip, said insert comprising a flange comprising an upper surface, the upper surface is flush with the second end of the elongated grip when the insert is received in the opening.

2. A grip assembly as recited in claim 1 further comprising: a weight comprising a first weight end and a second weight end, the first weight end comprising a second threaded portion configured to engage the first threaded portion of the insert.

3. The grip of claim 2, wherein the weight is received in the insert such that first weight end is flush with the elongated grip.

4. The grip of claim of claim 2, wherein the first weight end includes a securing key.

5. The grip of claim of claim 2 further comprising a securing adhesive disposed between the first threaded portion and the second threaded portion.

6. A golf club comprising:

a head;

a shaft having a first shaft end and a second shaft end, the second shaft end secured to the head; and

a golf club grip assembly as recited in claim 1.

7. The golf club of claim 6, wherein the head comprises one of a putter, a wedg and a driver.
