Abstract:
Provided are a gripping device which has a simple configuration and has multiple functions for various kinds of objects, and a cloth treating robot which is provided with a gripping device.
A gripping device (200) comprises a stationary gripping member (240), a movable gripping member (261), a slide device (220), a gripping body section (210), and a motor (270). In the gripping device (200), the movable gripping member (261) is rectilinearly moved relative to the stationary gripping member (240), which is affixed to the gripping body section (210), by means of the slide device (220), and the movable gripping member (261) is rotated by the motor (270). This causes the front end section of the stationary gripping member (240) and a front end movable member (262) of the movable gripping member (261) to approach each other to thereby grip cloth (laundry) as an object.
