Abstract:
Provided are a gripping device capable of more definitively gripping a workpiece, and an industrial robot. Thus, a gripping device equipped with a bag-shaped gripping body 28A which has a palm section 30A, a peripheral section 29A formed in the periphery of the palm section 30A, and a plurality of finger parts 32A which are provided so as to project from the peripheral section 29A and collapse toward the palm section 30A as a result of a deformation of the palm section 30A in the thickness direction, and further equipped with a filler material provided inside the gripping body, the gripping device being characterized in that the gripping body 28A curves from the palm section 30A toward the peripheral section 29A.
